Major Ethnic Groups: Yoruba, Hausa, Fulani, Ibo, Igala, Kanuri, Tiv, Ibiobio, Ijaw, Edo, Efik, Urhobo, Edoma, Itsekiri.

Nigeria is an ethnically diverse country. The Hausa and Yoruba make up around 21 percent of the population; the Igbo/Ibo about 18 percent; the Fulani, around 11 percent; and Ibibio about 5 percent. Various other groups make up the remaining 23 percent.
